Introduction to the owner….

My name is Rob Schramm, owner of Heritage Moldings. This is a new company as of 2026, which is part of our mirror company, Antique Mirror Glass Company, LLC. We are based out of central Illinois in the town of Bureau. I have been making antique mirrors for 22 years and have been reproducing moldings for about 15, but on a much smaller scale.

My background includes construction, decorative painting (faux finishing), Venetian plaster, patina finishes, gilding, and woodworking, including recreating moldings. I have a deep appreciation for things from the past and a passion for making items look older than they really are. This blog will be my way to explain different aspects of what I do, and if you have questions you’d like answered, don’t hesitate to ask—I enjoy sharing the details of my craft.
